Contemporary Villa Project – A Refined Integration of Space, Light, and Functionality

The contemporary villa project is a remarkable architectural and interior design endeavor, developed at Studio Barreca & La Varra, with my contribution as a team member in 2009. This two-level residence embodies a sophisticated arrangement of spaces, thoughtfully separating public and private functions. The ground level is designated for public use, while the upper level focuses on private living. The building's volume is organized into three distinct sections: the gallery, the interface, and the living area, fostering dynamic interactions among the interior spaces.

The ground level serves as the core of the villa, featuring an inviting patio that establishes a calming atmosphere upon entry. The living room is designed to be both comfortable and elegant, connecting with the kitchen, which is strategically placed for easy access to the formal dining area and lounge. This level also includes a wellness and spa area, providing a peaceful space for relaxation and self-care. A studio is incorporated for work or creative pursuits, while the gallery-like corridor unifies these spaces, creating both a visual and functional link.

On the upper level, the focus shifts to private living quarters. The bedrooms are crafted to offer a balance of comfort and privacy, with the master bedroom standing out as a luxurious space, complete with an en-suite bathroom. This level also features additional bathrooms, ensuring convenience for all residents. The sky room is designed to capture natural light and views, offering a contemplative space for relaxation or stargazing. Terraces on this level extend the living space outdoors, creating a connection between the interior comfort and the surrounding landscape.

The interior design emphasizes a contemporary, elegant aesthetic, with each space curated to enhance the villa's openness and light. High-quality materials, clean lines, and a warm color palette create a cohesive and refined environment throughout. The thoughtful layout of both public and private areas ensures that the villa caters to social gatherings and personal retreats, making it a versatile and inviting home.
